This year we celebrated Halloween in Enterprise since that is where the kids and I are living at the moment. (with my parents) So far its been great. The kids love living in a small town. Heck their school is literally right across the street from mom and dad's house its awesome!.

For Halloween we went to the community center before we took them trick or treating. They throw this giant party for kids, with games and food. They had a cupcake walk that Miss Sophie participated in and won! She was so happy. That girl loves her food. Maddie invited a friend to go with her trick or treating. Her friend Amy is a great girl and I'm glad Maddie made a friend. All of J.T's friends were busy with their parents so he went with his sister but after awhile decided to take off by himself. Heck he got more candy than they did anyways. It was quite cold out so mom and I drove the little girls door to door so they would stay somewhat warm and so would we. All in all we had a great time.

Baby dolls and Slings

Sara and Sophie have been bugging me all week to make them a baby sling to carry their babies around with them. After combing the internet I finally found a tutorial that I like. It took me about and hour and some flannel I had but I made the girls each a sling. They loved it. They are carrying their "babies" around the house just like little mommies! Although Sara didn't want me to take her picture, she has been very crabby lately.

Here is my very first attempt at making something from a pattern. It didn't turn out so bad. I made it one size bigger than what Sophie wears and the top seems a bit to big but thats okay. She can wear it next year too~!.

Maddie needed a fresh new haircut for school on Monday. Her hair prior to this was all the way to the middle of her back. The stylist cut off about 8 inches of hair. But Maddie looks wonderful now!

Some of you probably don't know but my lovely Sophie likes to play with scissors, she hides with them, she cuts all sorts of things. Well today she decided to CUT HER HAIR!!!!!!!! And it wasn't just a little cut either. She took a huge hunk out of the right side of her hair. There was no hiding it. So off we went the Great Clips for a new hair cut. There was no way to fix it except the cut all her hair to the length she cut it her self. Thank Goodness for barrettes.

Her hair was always making her look like a rag muffin so we went and got her first professional haircut. She did really good too! Probably because she was so tired she sat there scowling at the lady the whole time! But we all think she looks cute!

So today my little pixie child has turned four. Wow how time has flown by. Doesn't seem like that long ago she was born. Anyways, I could go on and on about how time doesn't stand still, but I will tell you about the Birthday girl's day. We took her and her siblings to "Parties R Us" which is basically and indoor play park. They have all these inflatable toys/rides. There was a slides, and obstacle courses, at first she was a little freaked out by all the noise and commotion so Jonathan had to just throw her into the thick of it. Once she realized that it was fun she had a blast. So did everyone else, especially little Sophie. After that we headed to Taco Bell which for some reason is her favorite place to eat. Grandma and Grandpa Myers joined us for dinner, and afterward headed to our place for cake and presents. I do believe my little girl had a great day.

So today Maddie asked if she could get her ear's peirced and I was a little nervous because she can be such a baby! But she did great. Didn't cry or yell or anything! She just sat there and got it done! She loves them and she looks so cute!

Maddies New Hair cut

So Maddie decided she wanted to cut her hair short. It was down past her shoulders. She hated that I made her pull it back out of her face, she hated that it got tangles every morning. So Saturday we went to get it cut. She wanted something different she told me , so I told the haircut lady do give her a modern looking bob. Well the first cut she got was horrible. It looked like they had chopped four inches off the back and left the front no shape or anything. We got home and Jon noticed how bad it was and was annoyed. He took her back in and made them fix it. He refused to let the lady who cut her hair first fix it. She wasn't to happy but she stood by while someone fix it. Above is the end result. Its a bob that is a little longer in front but shorter in the back.. It looks so nice on Maddie and she loves how easy it is to do. So now we are all happy!

My Sophie turned one! I can't believe it. She is so much fun. Sophie is definitely the light of the house because she is our little clown. We love her to death! She got so much neat stuff for her birthday, but by far her favorite was the Jack-in-the-box that Jon and I got. She carries it around with her and makes whoever she can turn the handle. All in all she had a great first birthday!

Well Halloween was a blast as always. JT came home sick though but was feeling better by the time trick or treating came around. Sophie was my pumpkin (of course!) Sara since she could still wear her costume from last year and she didn't seem to mind being a pirate again. She's and adorable pirate to boot!. JT wanted to be a Grim Reaper and we found an awesome costume, the face dripped blood. Although getting it to work was a mess just ask Jon. We did our annul Trunk or Treat which is at the Church and it is where everyone parks there car and hands out candy from their trunks. Plus there are all sorts of fun activities inside the church as well. So all in all it was a totally fun night!

Yellowstone

So yesterday we went to Yellowstone because it was National Parks Day and there was no entry fee. ( Yes we are that cheap!!!) Anyways the kids had a blast and so did I. I have never been to Yellowstone so it was pretty neat. Although Sara wouldn't get in any of my pictures so you would never know that we even had a three year old. It was a long, exhausting day but well worth it. I will definitely take the kids back again .

Well our little Sara is sure growing up. On Saturday May 31st she had her third birthday. It's so hard to believe that she is that old already. All day long she kept saying 'Happy Me" so I'm sure she knew it was her special day. We didn't do anything special just had Grandma and Grandpa Myers over for dinner and had cupcakes (for some reason cupcakes get eaten in our house whereas a normal cake doesn't, don't ask me).

Well Jon and I decided to take a trip to Oregon for a week. We both needed a vacation, yes I know we are bad parents to pull our kids out of school but boy did they have fun. Let's face it they only have two weeks left of school so it really isn't going to hurt anyone. Grandma and Grandpa had no clue we were going to see them and we ended up surprising the heck out of them! That was the best part.

Catch up time

So I thought I would play a little catch up. It's been pretty busy lately. The kids are on spring break right now and boy are they going at it. Thank goodness its nice out so I can tell them to play outside. Sara is being Sara lovable but opinionated . We have a Dr. appointment today to see how she is doing developmentally, because Jon and I are a little worried since she doesn't talk all that great and doesn't seem to be growing very much either. She just doesn't act like an almost 3 yr old. But we love her to death anyways. Miss Sophie is growing. It just amazes me how fast they grow. She is now 12 lbs 10 oz and 24 inches long. She rolls over and eats like a little champ! Although I've decided she is rather serious. Its very hard to get her to smile but when she does it just lights up the room. Only people that can get her to laugh though is Sara and JT. She finds them very entertaining. Well not much else going on in our little world. Just busy doing the same stuff every day! But I wouldn't give it up for the world.

Well today was the pinewood derby. After weeks of sweat and two cars later we did it. Or I should say JT and Jon did it. They built JT a yellow car with red flames! We explained to JT over and over that it didn't matter if he won or not it was fun just building the car. We didn't want tears because he didn't win. Well lo and behold JT won first place in his age group. Might not have been first for all the cars but it is still pretty darn great. He was SO excited. I'm very proud of my little man.
